The Basic Skills/Freestyle program is designed to introduce individual skaters to a variety of skills. Using the USFSA Basic Skills Learn to Skate Program, our skaters learn all the fundamentals of figure skating.
The objectives of the program are:
5:15 - 5:45 pm Basic 1 and 2
5:45 - 6:15 pm Basic 3, 4, and 5
6:15 - 6:45 pm Basic 6, 7, and 8
6:45 - 7:15 pm Twinklers/Sparklers Power Stroking
7:15 - 7:45 pm Freestyle 1-6
7:45 - 8:15 pm Stars Power Stroking
8:30 - 9:00 pm Metallites Power Stroking
9:00 - 10:00 pm High Freestyle
High Freestyle is now a structured class time focusing on proper ice etiquette, proper warm up and cool down techniques, what it means for show your artistic side, how you can make the most of your practice sessions, what to expect from private ice and loving the sport of figure skating.

10:45 -11:15am Hockey 1-6
11:15 -11:45pm Basic 1 & 2
11:45 -12:15pm Basic 3, 4 & 5
12:15 -12:45pm Basic 6, 7 & 8
This class is required for the Twinklers, Sparklers, Stars and Metallites Synchro teams and offered to Private Ice skaters. This class focuses on conditioning, leg strengthing and proper stroking techniques.
Theses classes are offered on Monday nights.
