Northern Lights Figure Skating Club

*If your child has paid the Private Ice fee she is able to go to any of the Private Ice sessions, whether she has a lesson scheduled with her private coach or not. 

*Due to liability concerns, it is required that your child be supervised at all times.  This could be supervision by her Private Coach, a parent, or another responsible adult or older skater arranged by the parent.  These requirements are put in force for the safety of your child.   

Private Lessons are given by an individual coach to a skater. There 2011-2012 Season fee of $100.00 for private ice, (paid to EGF Parks and Rec)  plus the cost of each lesson paid to your private coach. If you choose to hire a private coach they will assign a practice time for you each week to improve your Basic Skills, Freestyle, and/or Dance levels. They can also keep you informed throughout the season and give you opportunities to compete individually or test over and beyond the Basic Skills program through USFSA.

**When choosing a private coach, make sure you ask for their credentials and references. Remember they are considered independent business owners that run their own private lessons. Some are not employees of the Parks and Recreation Department. If you have a coach from outside of our program, please contact Katie Boespflug and provide her with the name of your coach. Private coaches that are not hired by the city to coach other groups, must pay a fee to coach on our ice.
